16. Visit Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls was a trip my friend Laurie took in 2019 - and it's featured on Disney's Soarin' Around the World ride - so it's been in the back of my mind ever since! On a last minute trip to "somewhere in the Americas," I made sure to add time to visit Iguazu Falls along with our jaguar safari!

We started on the Brazil side with a morning stroll through the Parque das Aves, or Bird Park, to get up close to toucans, macaws, and my favorite potoo. Then, we enjoyed the cliff side trail with gorgeous views to the falls on the Argentina side of the river and a rainbow appearing in nearly every photo. This side’s visit concludes on a platform at the base of the famous Devil’s Throat where you can appreciate the sheer volume of water crashing down.

The next day we crossed the border to Argentina and enjoyed all the cool platform trails along the crests of the falls and the jaw dropping viewpoints. We then jumped in the “wet” boat for views at the water line and from INSIDE some of the waterfalls too - what a true natural wonder!
